The IEEE Professional Society of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an Alumni Interaction Session titled "Building a Software Career: An ECE Student Perspective – Insights for the Next Generation" on March 13, 2025 (Thursday), from 01:30 p.m. to 02:30 p.m. in the Communication Laboratory, ECE Department.
The session featured Ms. Thangakumari, B.E. (Alumni 2017), Senior Engineer at Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India, as the guest speaker. The event was coordinated by Mrs. E. Francy Irudaya Rani, AP/ECE under the guidance of and Prof. J. Friska, HOD/ECE. Ms. Thangakumari shared her professional journey, offering valuable insights into transitioning from an ECE background to a successful software career. She emphasized the importance of coding skills, industry trends, and the role of interdisciplinary knowledge in securing opportunities in the software domain.
