Francis Xavier Department of Management Studies (FXDOMS) organized an Alumni Interaction Session on 27th January 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at the MBA Seminar Hall. The session was conducted with the objective of guiding students on developing essential personality and professional skills required to succeed in the corporate world.
The session featured Ms. K. Deepa Lakshmi, SPS Associate at Amazon Development Centre and Freelance Soft Skills Trainer, as the resource person. Being an alumna, she shared her professional journey from being a student to establishing herself as a corporate professional, which inspired and motivated the participants.
Ms. Deepa Lakshmi highlighted the importance of personality development, communication skills, confidence building, and professional etiquette in achieving career success. She emphasized that technical knowledge alone is not sufficient in the corporate sector and that soft skills play a crucial role in career growth. She also shared practical tips on time management, leadership qualities, teamwork, and workplace adaptability. The resource person interacted actively with the students through real-life examples, activities, and discussions. The session was highly engaging and provided students with valuable insights into corporate expectations and personality enhancement strategies.
