On 18.02.2026 A Company Visit to VinFast Auto India Private Limited and Intersnack Cashew India Private Limited, Thoothukudi was done by Dr. D. Annie Rose Nirmala, HOD/MBA, and Mrs. M. Thanalakshmi, AP/MBA. VinFast Auto India Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of VinFast, a global electric vehicle manufacturer and part of Vingroup headquartered in Vietnam. The interaction focused on EV manufacturing and operations, technology and innovation, supply chain management, sustainability practices, and business market strategies. The visit identified opportunities for students from EEE, ECE, Mechanical, and MBA (HR) to undertake internships, final-year projects, and potential placements scheduled for June 2026.
The faculty members also visited Intersnack Cashew India Private Limited, a food processing company established in 2016 and headquartered in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The company specializes in processing raw cashew nuts and producing high-quality cashew kernels for domestic and international markets. Discussions centered on quality assurance, food safety standards, manufacturing technologies, automation, and supply chain and logistics management. The visit opened avenues for internships and final-year projects for students from EEE, Mechanical, and MBA (HR and Operations), along with opportunities for faculty industrial training. The industrial visit strengthened industry–institution collaboration and enhanced prospects for academic and professional development.
