On 10th February 2025 the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council, in association with the Department of Civil Engineering, organized an expert talk on the topic "Empowering Entrepreneurs Innovation and Startups for a Dynamic Future" at Francis Xavier Engineering College. The resource person for the session was Dr. G. Rajakumar, Controller of Examinations, IIC Vice President, and Professor in the Department of ECE at Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli. 43 students and 1 faculty participated in the program. The event was coordinated by Mrs. P. Raja Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, FXEC, Tirunelveli.

The session aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students and highlighting the significance of innovation in driving successful startups. The session provided valuable inputs about the role of entrepreneurship and innovation in national development, emphasizing the impact of government initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, and Atal Innovation Mission. The resource person highlighted the significance of startups in driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and fostering industrial advancements. He explained how emerging entrepreneurs can benefit from the startup ecosystem, including funding opportunities, tax exemptions, and fast-track regulatory support.

The resource person highlighted the key aspects of entrepreneurship, including risk management, business structuring, and innovation strategies. He discussed the advantages of startups, such as flexibility, creative freedom, and access to incubators and accelerators. Furthermore, he outlined the challenges faced by new ventures, including financial constraints, infrastructure limitations, and regulatory complexities, while providing strategic solutions for overcoming these obstacles. The importance of integrating technology into entrepreneurship was emphasized, with a focus on digital transformation, automation, and artificial intelligence in business operations. The program concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students actively engaged with the resource person, seeking guidance on launching and sustaining their startups. The discussion provided clarity on various aspects of entrepreneurship, encouraging participants to take bold steps toward innovation-driven enterprises.
