The Industrial Visit to Srishti Innovative Computer Systems was organized with the aim of bridging the gap between academic learning and the corporate environment. The session began promptly at 9:30 AM and was themed "From Campus to Corporate". The program was coordinated and presented by Mr. Vishnu, who delivered an engaging and insightful session on career readiness and workplace expectations.

Key Highlights of the Session:

  1. Introduction to Job Opportunities:
    • The speaker emphasized the wide range of career options available, highlighting that success is not limited to coding but includes various portfolios.
    • He stressed the importance of having a clear vision or dream and aligning one’s actions accordingly.
    • The metaphor "Run like a cheetah for opportunities and hunt like a crocodile after gaining experience" was used to illustrate career pursuit and strategy.
  2. Understanding the Gen Z Hiring Pattern:
    • Modern recruitment methods focus not just on knowledge but also on attitude and task efficiency.
    • Interview processes now often assess behavioural aspects and problem-solving skills.
  3. Interactive Activities Conducted:

    A variety of creative and reflective activities were conducted to enhance self-awareness, team coordination, and adaptability:

    • Physical Coordination Activities: Counting from 1 to 10 with alternate hand and leg movements.
    • Drawing Human Parts: To assess imagination and interpretation.
    • "Hoi" Response Activity: Emphasized attentiveness and response.
    • Clock Visualization: Encouraged mindfulness and time sense.
    • Scenery Drawing: Checked creative thinking vs. comfort zone.
    • Comfort vs. Fear Zone Circle: Helped identify personal fears.
    • Observation & Change Activity: Enhanced memory and attentiveness.
    • Counting 1 to 32 without clashing: Demonstrated planning and leadership.
    • Paired Activities (Hi-Fi, Sit, Dance, Twirl): Illustrated coordination and adaptability.
  4. Technical & Professional Insights:
    • Goal Setting: Importance of having a defined purpose.
    • Initiative & Self-Questioning: Encouraged self-assessment and growth mindset.
    • Professional Behaviour: Emphasized punctuality, rule adherence, and proactive learning.
    • Networking: Learn from industry experts and stay connected.
    • Plan and Practice: Essential for long-term career success.
  5. Career Preparedness & Industry Trends:
    • Post-pandemic world defined by VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) was linked with the need for Vision, Understanding, Clarity, and Agility.
    • The BANI model (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) was discussed with FLUX solutions (Fast, Liquid, Uncharted, Experimental).
  6. Soft Skills to Master:
    • Responsibility, punctuality, time management, leadership, teamwork, coping mechanisms, and continuous learning were emphasized as essential soft skills.
  7. Preparation for Employment:
    • Academic excellence, skill development, certifications, internships, personality development, and LinkedIn networking were suggested as key strategies.
    • Proper documentation and continuous placement training were also highlighted.
    • Special emphasis was laid on identifying fake companies by verifying their physical presence and online reviews.

The visit to Srishti Innovative Computer Systems proved to be a highly informative and motivating experience for the students.
