“Innovative Mindset: A solution for the Product Development”

On 12.02.2025, a “Seminar on Innovative Mindset: A Solution for the Product Development” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of MCA. The session was handled by Mrs. J. Doulas, Assistant Professor, Department Computer Science and Engineering, FXEC from 11.30 - 12.30 p.m. 40 students and 2 faculties participated. The program was coordinated by Dr. M.Vijaya Maheswari, EDC Co-Ordinator Assistant Professor, Department of MCA, Francis Xavier Engineering College. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Dr. M.Vijaya Maheswari, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA and introduced the guest speaker. The seminar began with an overview of Innovation being the driving force behind successful product development. The speaker explained the significance of an innovative mindset, its impact on product development, and practical strategies to foster innovation among students. Speaker said that the innovative mindset encourages creativity, experimentation, and adaptability. Organizations that embrace innovation can identify and solve problems efficiently, anticipate market trends and customer needs, foster collaboration and cross-functional teamwork, adapt to technological advancements and industry changes, and enhance their competitive advantage through unique and improved products. Speaker explained the role of creative thinking which leads to the development of unique product that set a business apart from its competitors. Implementing agile methodologies and rapid prototyping ensures a faster time-to-market, allowing companies to stay ahead of industry trends. Speaker also added, developing products that align with real customer needs results in higher customer satisfaction.

The speaker concluded that the innovative mindset is essential for successful product development by fostering a culture of creativity. Organizations that embrace innovation will not only enhance their product offerings but also stay ahead in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Students gained lot of information about the role of innovative mindset in the product development.
