Internship during summer

As part of the DAWN Association activity organized by the Department of MCA, Francis Xavier Engineering College, an internship program was conducted from 18th June 2025 to 18th July 2025, providing MCA students with an opportunity to gain real-time industry exposure and practical knowledge in their respective domains. Students were placed in various reputed companies, working on diverse, application-driven projects. At DSRT, students including Mr. Abdul Hameed S M, Mr. Prakash M, and Mr. Syed Sabeer Ahamed A H developed task management systems, while Mr. Marutha Nayagam R worked on a Note Taking App.

M SQUARED hosted several interns such as Mr. Ameenudeen A who built a BMI Calculator using the MERN Stack, Ms. Angelin Jesiba M who designed a Veterinary Doctor Appointment system, and Ms. Jesyntha J, who worked on the Ecocity Waste Solution. Other notable projects at M SQUARED included a Pet Adoption platform (Ms. Mari Shri Nithya R), Mood-Based Music Wall (Ms. Mari Shri Vidhya R), House Price Prediction (Ms. Madhumeena K), Diet Chart Website (Ms. Rufina R), Social Media Application (Ms. Shajetha M), and a Predictive Sales Dashboard (Ms. Karthigai Lakshmi A). At FEATHERS SOFTWARE, students engaged in hands-on development on a variety of platforms—Mr. Arun Gladson S worked on Task Scheduling, Mr. Bala Ganesh P developed PocketBazaar (a mobile shopping app), Mr. Madasamy C implemented sentiment analysis, Mr. Ramalingamsabarish M focused on weather data analysis, and Mr. Vijay Anand S built “DRONES VA”, a platform for drone-related services. Interns at VETRI included Mr. Anto Vincent Jovin D, who created a malware detection system using API calls, and Mr. Nithish Ponkumar J, who developed TeeCommerce, a full-stack t-shirt e-commerce platform.

SHRISTI provided internships for students working on various innovative ideas: Ms. Jenitha E (Career Path Recommendation), Ms. Ponalamelu S (Cafe Website), Mr. Raj Livingston J (Smart Farming), Mr. Narasimhan M (To-do List App), Mr. Sam Daniel R (Task and Notes Manager), Ms. Siva Kathir S (Attendance via Face Detection), Ms. Sivarajani S (E-commerce Website), and Ms. Shobana Malathi K (Student Performance Insights). The internship experience not only enhanced the students’ technical proficiency in areas such as full-stack development, machine learning, UI/UX design, and domain-specific applications but also enabled them to apply their academic learning in professional environments. This initiative marked a significant step in fostering industry-readiness among students through the collaborative efforts of the DAWN Association and the Department of MCA.
