On 07.05.2025 a session was organized on the title “IP powered Excellence: Leveraging Intellectual Property for Quality and Operational Success in Startups” by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Management Studies. The session was handled by Mrs.J.Evangeline Kiruba, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 51 I year MBA students and 1 faculty participated in the program. This event was coordinated by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
Introduction Intellectual Property (IP) is a crucial strategic asset for startups. In the early stages, startups possess intangible assets like ideas, branding, and know-how. Leveraging IP effectively safeguards these assets, enhances business valuation, attracts investors, and supports sustainable operations.

Through this guest lecture students learnt that for startups, protecting intellectual property is not optional—it is essential for competitive advantage, operational efficiency, and long-term success. Early IP strategy integration can turn intangible assets into powerful business drivers.
