On 06.09.2024 department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and FX Alumni Association of Francis Xavier Engineering College organized a seminar on "Navigating Career Pathways in Top MNCs: Placement Insights for ECE Freshers," featuring Er. Jebastin Jacob J, Tech Lead at Icanio Technologies, as the guest speaker. Jebastin, a seasoned professional in the tech industry, shared his experiences and offered valuable insights into the various career opportunities available for ECE students in leading multinational companies (MNCs), particularly in the software domain. 55 students and 3 faculty participated in the program. This event was coordinated by Dr R prem Ananth, Assistant professor/ ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
He began by introducing the range of roles available for ECE graduates in software, emphasizing that the opportunities are not limited to hardware and electronics but extend into software fields such as UI/UX Design, Front-End Development, Back-End Development, Cloud/DevOps, Testing, and Project Management/Business Support. Each domain offers distinct pathways and requires a specific set of skills.
