On 28.08.2025, a session was organized on the title “Future of Engineering Entrepreneurship: Trends & Opportunities” by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC through offline mode in association with the Department of Management Studies. The session was handled by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha. Assistant Professor. Management Studies, FXEC. A total of 93 students and 1 faculty participated in the program. This event was coordinated by the Department of MBA, FXAC.

The resource person highlighted how engineering is no longer limited to technical problem-solving but is now a powerful driver of entrepreneurship and innovation. The resource person emphasized that engineering entrepreneurship is about seeing problems as opportunities and providing impactful solutions that create value for society as well as for business. Emerging Trends in Engineering Entrepreneurship involves Digital Transformation: Growth of AI, IoT, robotics, and Industry 4.0, Sustainable Solutions: Opportunities in renewable energy, waste management, and eco-innovation, Healthcare Engineering: Development of medical devices, biotechnology, and AI-driven health solutions, Smart Infrastructure: Urban mobility, smart homes, and city management systems & Global Innovation: Startups operating beyond borders with global reach. The resource person cited inspiring examples of entrepreneurs who converted problems into opportunities like Paytm, Ola Cabs, Tesla (Elon Musk), and Alibaba (Jack Ma). The session concluded that the future of engineering entrepreneurship is dynamic and filled with opportunities. Engineers with the right blend of skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit will drive innovation across industries and contribute to solving global and local challenges.
