The 18th Convocation of Francis Xavier Engineering college, Tirunelveli was conducted on 8th October 2022 for the passed out students of 2019, 2020, 2021. Dr. Krishnan Baskar, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Manipur was the Chief Guest. Degrees were conferred on 1600 graduands. Dr. Krishnan Baskar in his address stated that the “Engineering graduates should take up the responsibility in accelerating the conducive start-up ecosystem to fulfill the dream of our nation”. He stated that it is happy to see that Francis Xavier Engineering College is in the forefront in empowering the students with quality education, skill and ability to become future ready engineering professionals. He added that "Graduation marks the completion of one stage in life and a beginning to enter a new phase of life, where you face real challenges and the most important thing in life is every graduand awaiting to get their degrees conferred should aspire to achive great thing in life."

Failure will make you learn and build a strong base to prepare to face the challenges and conquer challenges with success. Every engineer here should support to develop a knowledge-driven economy and inculcate the ability to develop innovative products. Each one should contribute onwards research in R&D led technology development and innovation, backed by high quality manufacturing. He concluded the graduation address by stating the words od Swami Vivekananda, who had deep faith in youth power and urged th young generation to amplify their mental energies and physical fitness and work for social tranformation, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life — think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” Dr. N. Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and Dr. R. Perumalsamy, Pro-Chancellor, Noorul Islam Centre of Higher Education were the Guests of Honour. Dr. S. Cletus Babu, Founder Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions presided over the function. Dr. J.Amali Cletus, babu, Vice- Chairperson, Mr. C.Arun Babu, MD, Dr. K. Jeyakumar, GM(D), Mr. Krishnakumar, GM(A) and Dr. M. Mohamed Sathik, Director, School of Computer Science and Engineering of SCAD Group of Institutions were present. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V. Velmurugan, Principal, FXEC. The candidates were presented by the Head of the Departments. Dr. Rajakumar, COE, FXEC proposed a vote of thanks.
