Data Science Applied Lab Students win 3rd Place in VISAI- 2023

Data Science Industrial Applied Laboratory @ FXEC is a state-of-the-art laboratory which supports students to tackle real-world meaningful, and complex problems and create projects and models utilizing the latest tools. Five teams from Data Science Industrial Applied Lab participated in the 13th International Project Competition -VISAI 2023 organized by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Indian National Commission for cooperation with UNESCO (INCCU). Out of the 5 teams, the team comprising ROCHE MICHEAL R, SELVA BOOPATHY K S, FATHIMA SHEERIN R, SELSHIYA SHERIN M got the third prize under the Sustainable Development Goal on the Theme: Life on Land. The project was presented on the topic “COASTAL FISHERMAN AID”.The objective of the project is to save the lives of the people who unintentionally or unknowingly cross the country border during their fishing venture. Dr. Cletus Babu, Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions and Mrs. Augusti Marys Priyadarshini, Correspon-dent, SCAD Group of Institutions appreciated the team for winning the contest. Dr. K. Jeyakumar, GM (Development), Mr. Krishna Kumar GM (Administration & Director - Applied Labs), Dr. V. Velmurugan, Principal, Dr. K. Lakshminarayanan, Verti-cal Head/AL appreciated the team for their achievement. The the students of Data Science Applied Lab are guided by Ms. M. Aruna Devi, AP AI & DS.
