On 15th of September 2022 EDC and IIC in association with the college organized “Project Contest for School Students ‘INNOVATE 2K22’ from 9.00 a.m to 6 p.m. The Innovate 2k22 was organized to ‘Celebrate Engineer’s Day’. The students from IX to XII Participated. The students from various schools in and around Tirunelveli participated in the contest. The students were allotted space to exhibit their projects.
The Engineers Day Project Expo was opened by Dr V Velmurugan, Principal, FXEC. 122 students and 17 schools participated and exhibited 66 projects. The projects were evaluated by a team of experts. The staff and students were allowed to visit the project presented by the school students. The experts raised few questions to the students while evaluating the projects.
The Winners were Awarded under four Categories
Under the Innovation category
First Place was awarded to Sohail Khan, Eshanth Eswar and Bharath Ram for the project titled "Obstacle Avoiding Helicopter" from Bharath Vidyalaya School.
The Second Place was awarded to D.Edwin and L.Sathyaprakash for the project titled "The Subway Drainage System" from St.Mary's Boys Higher Sec School
Third Place was awarded to J.Jeremiah Enoch, G.Selvamurugan and P.Adchaya Saran for the project titled "Hydraulic Braking System" from Rose Mary Higher Sec School.
Under the Eco-Friendly Product Category
First Place was awarded to C.Aathi muthu, pandiyan and S.Siva Santhosh for the project titled "Reason Behind Lack of Grains Intake by the Modern Generation" from St.Mary's Boys Higher Sec School
The Second Place was awarded to S.Harini for the project titled "Bore Well Rescue" from Francis Xavier School
Third was awarded to J.Jeffin Jose and Mohamed Aadhil for the project titled "Water Level Indicator Technology" from DON Bosco Matric Higher Sec School.
Under the Technology Category
First Place was awarded to S.Kathir Kamadurai for the project titled "Industrial Air Quality Monitoring System" from Schaffter Higher Sec School,
The Second Place was awarded to M.Sariha Devi and S.Sri Subathra for the project titled "Smart Pedestrain Crossing & Elephant Corridor System In Railways" from Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee Matric Higher Sec School
Third Place was awarded to N.Kathirvel Giri, A.Sundar and V.Jeya Surya for the project titled "Smart Irrigation Banana Tech" from The M D T Hindu College Higher Sec School.
Under the Scientific Creativity Category
First place for the project titled "Vacuum Cleaner" from Sivanthi Matric Higher Sec School, The Second Place was awarded to S.Siva Surya for the project titled "Mini Tesla Coil" from Rose Mary Matric Higher Sec School
Third Place was awarded to Saravanan, Arsath Ismail and Ramana Annamalai for the project titled "Water From Atmospheric Moisture" from Little Flower Matric Higher Sec School".
Dr. N. Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University distributed the Certificates and the awards. Dr. Cletus Babu, Chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions appreciated winners and the participants for converting their ideas into innovative projects and prototypes.
