On 28th July 2022 commemorating World Conservation Day, we conducted tree plantation near helipad of our college and surrounding areas four plants.Our beloved principal started the event by planting a sapling followed by Our Head of COE also planted a sapling followed by YRC volunteers had planted sapling in the campaus. Then our volunteers had placed plug cards to crewate awareness on to create a sustainable environment and protect our mother earth followed by our YRC volunteers feeded water to plants and trees in our campaus.
In the observation of International Youth day on 12th August 2022, the Youth Red Cross had created an selfie booth for students in our college campus around 20 to 30 students and few staffs were taken selfies and picture in order to celebrating International Youth day. The selfie booth were placed in various places like lawn,APJ block entrance etc.
On 13th August 2022 is observed as Organ Donation day, so the YRC wing of our college has conducted an seminar regarding organ donation. Our club Vice-President T. Abraham Jebamani Raj and co-ordinator J.Joanna Rachel has presented about organ donation and also the history of organ donation .At the end of the day, the students got awareness to organ donation and process of organ donation that has to follow. Around 40 students from various department had participated the seminar atlast the students were taken an pledge to donate their organs.
Commemorating national sports day on 29th August 2022, the YRC wing of our college has conducted two games for students to refresh from their busy academics. Box cricket and Badminton where conducted for both boys and girls of our college. Two teams of 5 members per team where participated in box cricket and Singles for girls and doubles for boys in badminton where conducted to our student after the college hours.
On 30th August we YRC Wing has organised a signature campaign to create an awareness to use of cloth bag instead of plastic bags infront of APJ block entrance. Honourble principal of our college Dr.V.Velmurugan, Proffessor admission Mr.J. Zahariya Gabriel, Proffesor marketing and Staff Co-ordinator of YRC Mr.J.David Ayling were signed in campaign . Around 100 students and staffs from various department were volunteerly signed in the campaign and promised to not use plastic bags.
On 2nd september 2022. The YRC wing of our college were inaugurated cylce club at FXEC. The club was inaugurated by actor Thiru Arya during the visit of his movie promotion at main auditoirum of our college . The objective of the club is to enhance fitness and reduce mental stress for our students.
Commemorating world first aid day on 10th september 2022 the YRC wing of our college has conducted an First aid procudure, demonstration, training program by critical care consultants at EEE seminar hall. This program conducted in association with Kauvery hospital tirunelveli, a group of consultant were helped us to conduct the program. Aound 55 students from our college were participated in program, certificates were provided to the participants. At the end the participants learnt the procedure of first aid at critical situation.
Commemorating Internation day of peace on september 9, 2022 the YRC wing of our college were assembled the student from various department infront of APJ block. The students taken pledge that” I pledge to use my words to speak in a kind way. I pledge to help others as I go thorughout my day. I pledge to care for our earth. I pledge to respect people in each and every land. I pledge to join together as we unite the big and small.I pledge to do my part to create peace for one and all. The Honourable pricipal of our college Dr.V.Velmurugan, Professor admission Mr.J.Zaharia Gabriel, professor Academics Dr.L.R. Priya and Professor marketing and YRC staff Co-ordinator Mr.J.David Ayling were participated and take pledge, after the pledge symbol of peace Pigeon is released in front of APJ block by our Principal Dr.V.Velmurugan and our club event Co-ordinator J.Andrew Antony.
In the observation of world heart day. The office bearers and volunteers of YRC of our college has created an awareness of heart diseases prevention and methods to avoid such diseases by holding plugcards in our campus. At the end the students of our college has learnt howto avoid such heart diseases.
On 29th April, a tree plantation event was conducted in the occassion of FXTASY inter college event. The honourable cheif guest AL-Rufian has started the event by plant the sapling followed by the dignitries of the event has planted the saplings.
In 24th May 2022, we organised a vision screening camp in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Tiruenlveli along with us FX Health Club took part in it .Eye screening was done at free cost for students ,staffs and non teaching staff members and spectacles were provided for them in low cost. Around 300 students took part in the Vision screening camp.
On 7th June we have conducted a tree platation event near COE block and 5 saplings were planted in the surrounding areas. our beloved Principal has stared this event by plnating sapling followed by our YRC office bearers and students has planted saplings.
On 14th June 2022,we along with Indian Medical Association oraganised a Blood donation camp and awareness program in the ocassion World blood donor dayThe event was inaugarated by office bearers of Indian Medical Association and YRC of our college.A Total of 27 students has volunteerly donated blood in this event which can be used to save life,then offic bearers of Indian Medical Association created awareness of donating blood .
As YRC of our college has volunteered in FXTASY inter college meet on 29th april and FROXEN in 30th april.We guided the students to attend the events,we supported them on whole day to complete the event successfully. We have done volunteer for pot painting in Froxen.
During the phase 1 lockdown, the YRC club of our colllere has conducted an online competition for Paintaing, drwaing, photographs, 20 second awareness video in the theme of “Stay Home Stay safe let’s breake covid. The competition started on 30/04/2020 totally 74 members from various colleges were registered and participated in competition. The results are announced in the basis of likes in instagram for their entries. The results are published on 22/5/2022. The winners and runners of competitions were received E-certificates.
On 27th July 2020 an online were conducted by YRC of FXEC through youtube in the topic of Managing Stress and Building Resilance during the unpredictable time of Covid-19. During the lockdown the people are stay inside home which create stress to humans the webinar helps to reduce the stress of the poeples. Dr.B.Jeyanthi, regional co-ordinator of YRC/RRC, assistant professor of English at Anna university regional campus is spoke for this webinar. Around 200 to 220 peoples were participated the webinar through youtube. The E-certificated were issused to the participated after the completion of Webinar.
