Entrepreneurship Development Cell functioning in Francis Xavier Engineering College is committed to develop entrepreneurial spirit among students. We strive to inspire students to create new and innovative business ventures compliant to global market and standards. Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established in the year 2011 with the financial support of AICTE. MHRD Institutions' Innovation Council (IIC) was established in the year 2018. MHRD awarded the maximum star status from the year of inception. In the year 2019-2020 MHRD awarded Five Star status to the College for the activities carried out for the year 2019-20. Entrepreneurship Development Cell provides mentoring and regular guidance to the students Guest lecture from Industry experts and successful entrepreneurs and Alumni entrepreneurs from various areas of business. Entrepreneurship culture is nurtured from the very beginning of student’s academic journey 761 E Club members from all engineering discipline, MCA and MBA Innovation Club in all the department Established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the norms of Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Recognized as project Institute under National Scheme for Entrepreneurship Development in 2016 by NSTEDB. EDII recognized as a spoke college for disseminating entrepreneurial education among the students under the mission of Innovative Entrepreneurship Development Programme. EDII sponsors Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp under the DST-NIMAT project. Member of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Southern Region, Chennai Five stars in IIC ranking for the IIC activities
