On behalf of the FXEC Rotaract Club in association with Rotary Club of Tinnevelly Suburbs and the Department of Management Studies organized an Awareness programme for FXEC students on 21.02.2024. The programme started with the welcome address by Dr. V. Krishnaveni, AP/Eng. Mr. V. Suresh, Inspector of Police, Junction Traffic gave an awareness talk on Road safety and explained that Road safety is the prevention of road accidents by obeying the road safety rules and regulations. The most important factor of road safety is the need for skilful and cautious driving so that passengers, pedestrians and drivers stay safe. Inspector P. Jeyalakshmi, Tirunelveli said that Drug addiction is a serious situation in which a person, family, or friends may feel helpless because it affects the brain and behavior, which creates an imbalance in a person's self-control and addiction towards drugs. Dr. N. Muthulakshmi, Medical Officer, Kokkirakulam, Urban Primary Health Center gave awareness talk on Plastic Usage awareness and further added that Plastics can cause numerous health implications like cancer, diabetes, several organ malfunctions, impacts on eyes, skin, and other sensory organs, as well as cause birth defects in babies. Dr. N. Deepa, Assistant Professor, Nutritionist & Consultant elucidated on Food Safety and its awareness. Mr. M. Mathivanan, Chief Officer, Agasthyamalai Community Conservation Centre (ACCC) Mukkavar, Manimutharu, Tirunelveli gave a talk on Environmental Awareness and the importance of growing native plants and trees. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mr. P. A. Senthilkumar, Rotarian, Rotary Club of Tirunelveli Suburbs. The event was coordinated by Dr. V. Krishnaveni, AP/English with the guidance of Mr. Mr. J. Zahariya Gabriel, Campus Manager, Mr. A. Santiago Stephen, Overall Club Co-ordinator and Mrs. D, Annie Rose Nirmala, HoD/MBA.
