Blogging- A Business Opportunity for Young Entrepreneur

On 27.02.2023 a session on "Blogging" A Business Opportunity for Young Entrepreneur was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of MBA. The session was handled by Mrs.M.Thanalakshmi, Assistant Professor – MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 58 students from first year MBA and one faculty of MBA department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mr. P. Selvakumar, EDC Coordinator, Assistant professor - MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 9.30AM - 12.30 PM.

The resource person gave a brief introduction about the growing phase of blogging in the current world especially for women. The students were taught about the basics of blogging and the importance of this field to earn money easily by sitting at home. In her speech she emphasized that, entrepreneurs are skeptical about starting their blogging journey, yet many entrepreneurs are influencing the world with blogging and it might have encouraged to start this online world. It is all about knowing and showing the readiness. The entrepreneurs are ready to give what it takes to make blogging work for them.

She also stated that the blog will grow faster when it focusses on a specific niche and write for a specific audience. Through blogging, one can solve one’s reader's top most problems and they will respect you for that. They will keep coming back for more and be loyal too. Most definitely, choosing a niche can be challenging when various things inspire you and make you feel passionate. Success of a blog revolves around 3 factors - Your Passion, Your Reader and Profitability

Real time examples were given by the resource person which made the session more interesting. Hands on practice were also given throughout the session and that facilitated the students to have a better idea in Blogging. The session came to an end with a feedback session by the students.
