EDC connects the students with industry and provides technology solution and consultancy. In this connection students were taken to Nova Carbon India Ltd. Gangaigondan SIPCOT on 28.12.2022. Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen, Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, SCAD Group made the arrangements and accompanied the students and staff members.
Dr.R.K.A.Bhalaji AP/Mech and Mr.A.Alban Santhosh/Student Second Year M.E.(ISE) visited Nova Carbons Pvt Ltd, Gangaikondan to assess the industrial safety measures followed in the company to start the Safety Audit from the 2nd week of Jan 2023. The team verified the safety rules and regulations as per the Factories Act 1948 and identified the areas to be given priority to improve the safety measures in the unit.
Another team guided by Dr.Kannan, Professor, Mechanical Engineering along with III year Mech. students A Pravin. P, Joel Raj. A, Padmanaban V and IV Mech. Students Aldo Mathias. M, Abraham Jebamani Raj. T discussed with the plant officials regarding the technological solutions and the process designs to be modified to improve the existing situation. The proposed design was discussed with the plant Engineers.
