In a bid to hone the flair for English Language among students, the Department of English FXEC conducted Word Rap – to hone rapid hunting of new words; Word Hustle – to think of situation related words; Extempore / Pictionary – to hone on spot speaking ability.
The Competitions started with the welcome Address by Ms. Chelsia, Secretary, II EEE, 10 teams with 2 members competed in Word Rap and Word Hustle and 9 Students competed in Extempore. Mr. Sundarraj. R, IV IT and Ms. Aiswarya. A, I IT won the I Place and Ms. Chelsia and Ms. Vidya of II EEE won the II Place in Word Rap. Ms. Jyzus Jarah and Fathima Kingsy Shibani of II ECE A won the I Place and Ms. Vethanbu Libertin of II ECE B and Ms. Evans of IV IT won the II Place in Word Hustle. The I Place in Extempore was shared by Ms. Vethanbu Libertin, II ECE B and Mr. Emerson Bosco, II EEE, the II Place was won by Mr. Sundarraj. R, IV IT and the III Place was taken by Ms. Jyzus Jarah, II ECE A.
The Competitions started by 4.30 PM and came to a close by 5.15 PM with the vote of thanks by Mr. Karthick, I CSE A. The entire session was fun filled and vibrant. The Competitions were coordinated by Mrs. Shala F John, Club Coordinator and Mrs. Annmary Thomas, AP / English.
