Department of Information Technology Outreach program - Village visit

Village outreach programs are vital for holistic community development. These initiatives foster empowerment, sustainable growth, and bridge the urban-rural gap, contributing to the overall societal progress and inclusivity. A team of 54 students from the department of Information Technology II Year Section A of Francis Xavier Engineering College visited Thamaraiselvi village on 22.07.2024 as a part of their Outreach activity. The visit was organized to provide “House visit, Skills for school students and Tree Plantation awareness”. The team received a warm welcome by Mrs. Veeralakshmi, School Headmistress, Thamaraiselvi, Tirunelveli. The team of students spread awareness among the public and school students on the importance of education, healthcare, personal awareness and improving living conditions. The visit was organised under the wiseful guidance of Mr. S. Krishna Kumar General Manager (Admin), M. Team Professors and Mr. A. Charles, SCAD Nirman Project Coordinator, SCAD Group under the constant encouragement of our Principal Dr. V. Velmurugan. The visit was coordinated by Dr. R. Suman (ASP / Chemistry), Outreach and NSS Program Officer and Mr. J. Zaharia Gabriel, Professor/ Campus Manager along with the faculties Mrs. T. Nancy Lydia AP/IT, Ms. M. Priyadharshini AP/ENG and SCAD Nirman project team.
