On 28.12.2023 a session on " Discussion on the Skills and Mindset Essential for Entrepreneurs" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The session was handled by Mrs.M.Deepa, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 01.30 PM - 04.30 PM. 47 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by A.Arthy AP/CSBS.
The program started with the welcome address and introduced the resource person. The guest speaker started the speech by highlighting the significance of a proactive mindset in entrepreneurial endeavors. She discussed the skills that entrepreneurs need to develop for effective business management. She also highlighted the necessity of strong leadership skills, effective communication, and strategic thinking needed for managing the day-to-day activities of the organization. She underlined the setbacks and failures that are inherent in entrepreneurial pursuits and how resilience acts as a driving force for overcoming challenges.
She explained the ability to learn from failures and bounce back stronger to become successful entrepreneurs. She also said that the adaptability is a crucial component of mindset which will decide how successful entrepreneurs view challenges not as stumbling blocks but as opportunities for growth and innovation. The conversation illuminated that how communication serves as a linchpin for building strong relationships, fostering collaboration, and conveying a compelling narrative for the entrepreneurial journey. Participants raised few questions as to how entrepreneurs are continually evolve their skill sets to stay attuned to the rapid pace of technological advancements and shifting market dynamics.
The session was an interactive one and the participants interacted freely with the guest speaker and gathered more information from the speaker.
