Dream Big: Become an Entrepreneur

On 16.10.2023 a Talk on " Dream Big: Become an Entrepreneur " was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session was handled by Mr. Anto Joel Valan Mutharasu, Inseatfood Pvt. Ltd, Student Startup founder, from 1.30 PM – 4.30 PM. 43 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha AP/EEE.

The program started with the welcome address by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College. She lso introduced the resource person and the Students Startup founder. The guest speaker started his speech by a puzzle and created interactions between students in an attractive manner and spoke about entrepreneurship, Risk taking, planning and technology transfer. He also encouraged the students to identify the unmet needs of the people and develop an innovative product to fulfil their expectation. He said that dedicating the time to innovate something new and bringing it to market in order to effect worthwhile social change. He highlighted some of the futuristic startup opportunities for Electrical Engineers. He also explained the importance of becoming a student entrepreneur and the importance of market research and customer validation. He also listed some of the Government funding Schemes which can be used for developing the startup. The session was an interactive one and all the participants gathered lot of information from the resource person.
