E-Commerce Business Opportunities

On 04th Nov. 2022 an expert talk was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering on the topic “E-Commerce Business Opportunities” from 9:00 am to 12.30 pm. Dr.R.K.A.Bhalaji, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, FXEC was the resource person. Dr.S.Balakrishnan, AP/Mech coordinated the program.

The guest speaker explained the meaning of E-Commerce and the importance of E-Commerce to the business community. He highlighted the key drivers for e-commerce growth such as wider customer reach, increasing internet penetration, lower operational costs and rise in demand for global product. Moreover, he outlined the E-commerce environment and discussed about partners, competitors, communities, customers, clients etc. In addition to this, he showed the model for e-commerce business and also explained the marketing strategy, participants, features, marketing solutions and challenges in e-commerce. The resource person gave explanations for the sudden spurt in the growth of E-Commerce. He stressed the students to make use of the digital media and the E Commerce facility to start the business to earn money. He also said that without investing more amount the Ecommerce can be implemented in a big way. The participants interacted very freely and gathered more information form the resource person.
