Earn While Learn through Studentpreneurship

On 27th Oct. 2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Business Administration organized a guest talk on “Earn While Learn through Studentpreneurship”. The session was handled by Mr.P.Selvakumar, Assistant Professor, MBA Department, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 9.00AM – 11.30 AM. This program was organized for the MBA students. 58 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.

The speaker gave an introduction about Entrepreneurship and the importance of being an entrepreneur. He said Entrepreneurs are harnessing the power of business and the economy to create positive change for people and reshaping the economy and expanding the benefits to a broader group of stakeholders. In his speech he added that, MBA students must aim develop startups through creative and innovative thinking. The students must enhance their entrepreneurial skills and instilling a change in their behavior to focus on problem-solving, out-of-the-box thinking, experimenting, and taking calculated risks. In addition to this the students must develop entrepreneurial traits which requires a special effort from the decision-makers to create entrepreneurial ecosystem in the campus.

He emphasized the importance of change in mind set of students towards entrepreneurship and he suggested the participants to involve in the entrepreneurial activities even during the student days to earn while learn. This initiative will help them to continue the entrepreneurial venture after completing their studies. The session was informative and thought provoking and benefitted all the students and staff and the session ended with positive feedbacks from audience.
