Empowering the Engineers to Become Entrepreneur in Information Technology

On 26.10.2023 a Workshop on the title “Empowering the Engineers to become Entrepreneur in Information Technology” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Information Technology. The session was handled by Dr. A Jainu Fathima Associate Professor/ Department of computer science engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 10AM-12PM. 43 students and 2 faculties participated in the program. This event was coordinated by Ms. R Shirly Myrtle AP/IT.

The program started with the welcome address by Ms. R. Shirly Myrtle AP/IT, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The guest speaker Dr A Jainul Fathima started the speech by initiating the world of IT entrepreneurship. While explaining the entrepreneurship in IT sector, she gave lot of examples. Students were given innovative ideas about the opportunities for developing the IT startups. She highlighted the entrepreneurial opportunities in Digital Marketing and how it can be converted into startup initiatives.

The resource person asked the participants to give one innovative idea to start the business establishment. The ideas given by the participants were taken up for the discussion and the resource person gave lot of tips for fine tuning the ideas presented by the participants. The participants eagerly participated in the discussion and shared their ideas which were mentored by the resource person. The session gave an eye opening to the participants and the participants were really motivated by the resource person.
