On 22nd June 2022 FX Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "Entrepreneurial Feasibilities in EV Charging Station". Dr. U. Muthuraman, Assistant Professor/EEE, FXEC delivered the Guest Lecture.

The resource person explained the process of developing Electrical Vehicle Charging Station. He said that in the coming days the need for the EV charging stations will increase due to the increase in the use of two and four electric vehicles. There for the feasibility study about developing EV station will help the students to enter into the venture and develop EV charging station to earn through the same. He said that currently, our country is riding the EV wave. According to data from the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, total registered EV volumes across all segments combined reached 3.13 lakh units in 2021. He goes on to say that registered EV sales will surpass one lakh in just two months in 2022.

He said that, the expenditure of establishing a charging station in comparison to other sorts of businesses, the cost of setting up a charging station is fairly low. With decreasing the price of batteries by nearly 70% Since 2012, electric vehicles are probably to be as low priced as fuel power-driven vehicles within a year. Capitalization of the rising players like Ola and Uber, as well as food delivery companies, is also likely to help in the development of two and four wheeled EVs.

He also explained about the revenue stream, that are direct sources of value from EV charging business. Evolve as a subscription service where EV adopters pay a monthly annual Fee for an Integrated services package that involves access to charging facilities, vehicle maintenance services and free parking at public pay and park lots, that are managed by local municipalities.

This event was conducted by offline mode to EEE students and the event was coordinated by Ms.M.Krithika AP/EEE and Mr.N.V.Selvam, AP/EEE. 41 students and 2 faculty members participated in the program
