" Entrepreneurship: Embracing Technology for Business Transformation "

On 23.01.2025 a Talk on "Entrepreneurship: Embracing Technology for Business Transformation" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session was handled by M. Sankaranayagam, M.E Industrial Automation Consultant, Director Karyoun Innovations Pvt Ltd, Tiruppur from 01.30 PM – 4.30 PM. 41 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha AP/EEE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Ms. M. Mary Sumitha, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College and introduced the guest speaker. Resource person delivered an insightful session on entrepreneurship, innovation, key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, global entrepreneurship trends, challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and the qualities of an entrepreneurial mindset. During the session, he highlighted the necessity of industrial automation and the importance of innovation. He emphasized the importance of understanding the digital transformation landscape, covering emerging trends such as AI, cloud computing, blockchain, and IoT. Additionally, he discussed key technological advancements, competitor analysis, and evolving customer expectations. He explained how to assess technology readiness, including infrastructure, data management, and employee capabilities. Furthermore, he outlined the step-by-step process for developing a roadmap for digitalization. He guided participants on fostering a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, embracing agile methodologies, and promoting knowledge sharing. He also explained the importance of optimizing processes and workflows. The session was highly engaging and motivated attendees to the next level, with participants actively asking questions throughout.
