On 28.01.2025 a Talk on " Entrepreneurship in the Digital transformation Era" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session was handled by Mrs. R. Aandal, Assistant Professor/EEE, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 01.30 PM – 4.30 PM. 41 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha AP/EEE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program began with a welcome address and the introduction of the guest speaker by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, FXEC. The resource person provided a comprehensive overview of the landscape of entrepreneurship, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges in the field. She discussed the importance of utilizing digital technologies and platforms to create, manage, and scale businesses, emphasizing how entrepreneurs can leverage the power of the internet to innovate and disrupt traditional industries.

She specifically focused on e-commerce startups, app developers, and online service providers, illustrating how they utilize digital tools to drive growth. She also elaborated on the rise of disruptive business models, such as direct-to-consumer, subscription models, and on-demand services. In addition, the session covered how entrepreneurs can effectively leverage data and analytics, while also navigating regulatory challenges such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property. The guest speaker also discussed building a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting the significance of access to funding, mentorship, support networks, collaboration, and partnerships.

The session proved to be highly beneficial and motivating for young innovators planning their startups and businesses, significantly boosting their motivation. Participants engaged actively by asking insightful questions, which enhanced their understanding and enthusiasm.
