On 15th Sep. 2022 an Expert Talk on the topic "Entrepreneurship: A New Vista Towards Growth Trajectory to Unprecedented New Heights" was organized by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with Entrepreneur Development cell from 9.30-12.30 p.m. Dr.M.Kannan, Department of Mechanical Engineering, FXEC was the Guest Speaker. A.Amala Manuela, Assitant Professor/EEE was the coordinator for this event.

Resource person explained the importance of Entrepreneurship and Startups with the help of suitable examples from successful Indian entrepreneurs. He pointed out the growth of the entrepreneurial activities and the new entrants in this field. He highlighted the unprecedented wave of long-deserved growth, prosperity and wellbeing that can serve the interests of the rest of the country as well as the spirit of New India.

Creating a nation of job-creators and not just job-seekers is important for sustainable growth. And central to this, is the need for extensive collaboration between corporate industry, academia, and governments at the village, district, state and central levels. He also explained that a couple of decades ago, Indians were only concerned with well-defined, time-tested career choices. Youngsters used to follow in their parents’ footsteps and chose a secure career. Today, entrepreneurship in India is one of the most popular career paths for young people for the following reasons:

  • The desire to develop and implement a business plan from the ground up.
  • The aspiration to be their boss and master of their destiny.
  • The desire to take chances in a developing global economy with several untapped prospects.
  • The financial success ambition propels their growth to unprecedented, greater heights.

The session was found very useful to gather lot of business ideas. 53 students and one staff members attended the program.
