On 02nd August, 2023, an “Expert talk on Entrepreneurship for Emerging Engineers” was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at 09:30 pm to 12.30 pm. Dr.R.K.A.Bhalaji, AP/Mech, FXEC was the resource person for the program. 114 students and 2 faculty members participated in the program. Dr.R.Prem Ananth, AP/ECE coordinated the session.
The resource person discussed about the key takeaways of entrepreneurship landscape such as entrepreneurship, identifying opportunities, innovation & creativity, funding & financing, team building and adaptability & persistence. Resource person began by elucidating the concept of entrepreneurship, emphasizing its role in driving innovation, creating job opportunities and contributing to economic growth. He highlighted that engineers, with their problem solving skills are well-suited to become successful entrepreneurs. Next he explained the importance of recognizing market gaps and problems as potential entrepreneurial opportunities. Students were encouraged to observe their surroundings critically and identify the challenges that could be addressed through innovative solutions. Regarding innovation & creativity, he emphasized that innovation is the corner stone of successful entrepreneurship. Emerging engineers were urged to think creatively and push the boundaries of conventional thinking to develop unique solutions that stand out in the market.
A resource person said entrepreneurship is a journey filled with challenges. Emerging engineers should overcome the challenges in entrepreneurship by using their technical skills and knowledge. Participants interacted with the resource person and gathered more information about entrepreneurship and the business opportunities. The session came to an end with the feedback given by the participants.
