Expert Talk on Entrepreneurship is Marked by Job Creation rather than Job Seeking

On 22.09.2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an Expert Talk on "Entrepreneurship is Marked by Job Creation Rather than Job Seeking". Dr. T.C.Subbulakshmi, Associate Professor, Department of IT, was the resource person.

The resource person explained about Entrepreneurship and she said that entrepreneurship is all about the propensity to take risks, plan, organize, streamline and manage a new business idea in a marketplace. Entrepreneurship is marked by job creation rather than job seeking. Entrepreneurs are independent-minded, innovative people. who are on a quest to create unique products and services. Entrepreneurship might be difficult, but it is a rewarding journey. She also said that today, entrepreneurship has become one of the significant career choices being pursued by the youth.

She stressed that every entrepreneur learns to persevere and counter failure. She concluded that the entrepreneurial skill set that one develops isn’t only limited to business but entrepreneurial skills are transferable to almost all spheres of life and careers. The session came to end with the feedback from the participants and the participants gained knowledge about entrepreneurship and business ideas. 45 students and one staff member participated in the program.
