Expert talk on Technology Readiness Level and Innovation

On 29.12.2023 a seminar on "Expert talk on Technology Readiness Level and Innovation" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was handled by Mrs.Mariammal, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 1.30 PM - 4.00 PM. 59 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by M.Mariammal AP/CSE.

The program started with the welcome address by M.Mariammal, AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The session focused on the innovation development and understanding technology readiness level. The speaker explained the TRL framework, elucidating its various stages from basic research to full deployment. Her discussion emphasized the pivotal role TRL plays in assessing the maturity and viability of innovative technologies, offering attendees valuable insights into how this metric aids decision-making processes. The speakers illustrated the importance of aligning innovation efforts with organizational goals and strategic objectives through the systematic evaluation of TRL. Real-world case studies and examples were presented; showcasing instances where TRL assessments significantly influenced project outcomes and resource allocation.
