On 9th October 2024, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Civil Engineering organized a session on “The Spirit of Entrepreneurship: A successful Path towards Scaling New Heights”. The resource person for the program was Dr.R. Prem Ananth, IIC Convenor, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli. 40 first year civil engineering students and 1 faculty attended the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs. P. Raja Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of civil engineering, FXEC.
The resource person gave an overview of what entrepreneurship means and why it is important. He explained the key ideas like creativity, taking risks, and finding opportunities. He highlighted how a positive mindset could help students to face challenges in their future careers. He shared stories of successful entrepreneurs who achieved great things through innovative thinking and planning. He talked about the importance of being flexible and strong in today’s fast-changing world. He also shared some tips like networking, using technology, and understanding the market for the students who wants to become entrepreneurs.
Additionally, he discussed the value of having mentors and the need for continuous learning. He encouraged students to seek help from experienced people and to be open to new ideas. Also, he stressed the importance of building a good personal brand and reputation in entrepreneurship. The program ended with a Question and Answer session where students asked questions about their career goals and how to achieve them. This interaction made the session more engaging and helpful for everyone. Overall, the expert talk was inspiring and informative, giving students useful insights and motivation to follow their entrepreneurial dreams.
