The Faculty Development Programme on Machine Learning with Python was conducted for the Faculty members of various institutions and our institution by Department of Computer Applications from 26.04.2021 to 30.04.2021 through the Google form online platform. The Inaugural ceremony of Faculty Development Programme was conducted on 26.04.2021 at 10.00 am. Mr. A. Arul Amalraj,AP/MCA started with a prayer and Mr. D. Stanley welcomed the gathering. Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA introduced the Resource Persons and rules of the FDP. The Vote of Thanks was given by Mrs. J. Abalin Luther,AP/MCA.
On Day 1, Session 1(26.04.2021) Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA handled the topic “Machine Learning with Python Introduction”. The contents covered are Introduction to Machine Learning and the concept of TPE in Machine Learning. Hands on Training are given on Google colab for how to use ML and how to train the machine with a set of data.
On Day 1, Session 2(26.04.2021) Mr. A. Arul Amalraj, AP/MCA handled the topic “Regression Analysis and Optimization” In this session, the basics of python and how to work with Google Colab was described. The topic on Regression and optimization technique was also explained in detail.
On Day 2, Session 1(27.04.2021) Logistic Regression in Classification topic is handled by Mrs. S. Jasmine Mary, AP/CSE. This session deals with the concept of Classification. A brief note on Linear Regression and Logistic Regression are practically implemented in Google Colab.
On Day 2 , Session 2(27.04.2021) SVM and Multi-Class SVM topic handled by Mrs. S. Princy Suganthi Bai,AP/CS, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. This session deals with Vector Machine Algorithm to classify the data. The new concept of SPSS – Statistical Package for the Social science, the tool to mine the data without a single line of code is demonstrated in hands on Training.
On Day 3 Session 1(28.04.2021), Decision Trees topic was handled by Mrs. S. Jasmine Mary, AP/CSE. This session deals with Decision Tree, Hunts, CART, ID3 and more Algorithms. A hand on Training is given on Decision Tree in Google Colab demonstration. A Brief review is given on Entropy.
On Day 3 Session 2(28.04.2021), Clustering topic is handled by Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA. This session deals with Clustering, Cluster Approaches and How to merge Cluster. The real time examples for Clustering Applications and k-means Cluster are explained. A Hand on Training is given for Clustering in Jupiter Notebook.
On Day 4 Session 1(29-04-2021), Ensemble Approaches handled by Mrs. S. Princy Suganthi Bai, AP/CS, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. This session deals with Ensemble Approaches, Types of Ensemble Learning. A brief note on Data analysis using SPSS and Ensembles of Neural Network they are practically implemented in IBM SPSS.
On Day 4 Session 2(29-04-2021), Feature Selection Dimensionality Reduction handled by Dr. N. Ani Brown Mary, AP/CS, Sarah Tucker College, Tirunelveli. This session deals with the concept of Feature Selection Dimensionality Reduction, t-SNE (t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding). Also discussed about 1-Dimension Data,2-Dimension Data and 3-Dimension Data.
On Day 5 Session 1(30-04-2021), Reinforcement Learning was handled by Mr. A. Arul Amalraj, AP/MCA. This session deals with the concepts of Reinforcement Learning and how to select the data sets from the learning concepts. The real time examples for Reinforcement Learning are discussed.
On Day 5 Session 2(30-04-2021), AI Application in Machine Learning handled by Dr. G. Rajakumar,Prof/ECE , Francis Xavier Engineering College. This session deals with implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Machine Learning with real time example.
The Valedictory Function of Faculty Development Programme was conducted on 30.04.2021 at 4.00 pm. Mr. A. Arul Amalraj, AP/MCA started with a prayer and Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA welcomed the gathering. The feedback about the FDP was given by the learner Professors and Research Scholar from various institutions. The Vote of Thanks was given by Mrs. J. Abalin Luther,AP/MCA.
