Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli awarded Platinum Rating in AICTE – CII Survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes
Francis Xavier Engineering College was awarded Platinum Rating in AICTE – CII Survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes 2020. For the past two years 2018 and 2019 Francis Xavier Engineering College awarded Gold consecutively and this year it’s awarded with Platinum Rating because of its Best practices in association with industries. 814 institutes were shortlisted for full Survey carried by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi in association with Confederation of Indian Industry.
The objective of this Survey is to assess the status of partnership between technical institutions and industry. It has been designed keeping six basic parameters in mind and the institutes are evaluated on their industry linkages on the following six parameters in every stream separately:
§ Governance
§ Curriculum
§ Faculty
§ Infrastructure
§ Services / Projects & Skills Development
§ Placements
All parameters are examined purely from industry and output perspective and not from an academic perspective. The parameters have been designed to give insights into:
§ The extent to which institutes have been able to meet the dynamic demands of industry-responsive education
§ Institutes’ capabilities and resources to produce talent in order to meet market requirements
The institutes are given silver, gold and platinum ratings based on their performance in these parameters.
Francis Xavier Engineering College is very pleased for rated in Platinum Category among 814 institutes. In southern part of Tamilnadu 4 Institutions got platinum out of which Francis Xavier Engineering College is one among them. Also in Tirunelveli District Francis Xavier Engineering College is the only Institution got Platinum Rating in AICTE CII Survey.
