Essentials of Entrepreneurship plays a key role in Preparing students for success in the world of entrepreneurship and business. On 11th November 2022, a session was organized on “Essentials of Entrepreneurship” by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of FXEC Tirunelveli, Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Department of Civil Engineering. Mr.Ryan Elshan, Proprietor, Ryan Engineering, Tirunelveli was the resource person of the program. The speaker defined the entrepreneurial opportunity as the economically attractive and timely opportunity that creates value for interested buyers or end users and noted that commitment and determination, leadership, opportunity obsession, tolerance of risk, ambiguity and uncertainty, creativity, self reliance, adaptability and motivation to excel are the qualities that contribute to the attitudes and behavior of an entrepreneur. He also explained about the different types of entrepreneurship such as pure entrepreneur, second stage entrepreneur, franchisee, entrepreneurial team and social entrepreneur and further added a note on women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial motivations. The speaker ended the session by explaining about the competitive advantages of entrepreneurial firms. The program was organized by Mrs.Raja Priya.P/EDC coordinator, Department of civil engineering.
