On 20.01.2026 a Guest Lecture was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Session was handled by Mrs.Sandhiya.K,Senior Java Developer,Outlier’s TechnologyTirunelveli from 2PM TO 3PM. 57 students and 1faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Ms.A.Suba AP/CSE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr.Y.Harold Robinson,HoD/CSE.

The program started with the welcome address byMs.A.Suba AP/CSE ,Francis Xavier Engineering College. The Guest speaker commenced with the talk : “CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR JAVA DEVELOPERS” It was an inspiring session where former students, shared her idea about The objective of the lecture was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Java to create awareness among students about the growing demand for Java professionals in the IT industry. The resource person explained the importance of Java as a versatile, platform-independent programming language widely used in web applications, mobile apps, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and embedded systems. Students learned about various career roles such as Java Developer, Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, Android Developer, Software Tester, DevOps Engineer, and System Architect.

The speaker highlighted essential technical skills including Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, SQL databases, Git, cloud technologies, and problem-solving skills. Students were advised to work on real-time projects, internships, coding platforms, and certifications to improve employability. An interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify doubts related to job opportunities, salary expectations, placement preparation, certifications, and higher studies. The resource person encouraged students to build strong coding fundamentals and maintain an active portfolio on GitHub and LinkedIn.Overall, the Guest Lecture event was a resounding success, marked by meaningful exchanges, shared experiences, and the strengthening of our community bonds. The feedback received from students has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the event's impact in inspiring our students and providing them with practical insights and encouragement as they navigate their academic and professional paths.
