On behalf of the MCA Department and the DAWN Association, a Guest Lecture on "Clustering Essentials: K-means to Mixture Models" was held on October 16, 2024, for the II-year MCA students. The lecture aimed to offer a comprehensive understanding of different clustering techniques and their applications in Machine Learning.
Mrs. A. Anitha, Assistant Professor from the Department of CSBS, FXEC, highlighted the importance of clustering techniques and emphasized the growing relevance of Machine Learning across various fields.
The guest lecture was an informative and enlightening event that provided attendees with a thorough understanding of Clustering Techniques. It effectively connected theoretical concepts with practical applications, inspiring students to further explore the field. The lecture was well-received, leaving attendees with a greater appreciation for the potential of Hierarchical Clustering, K-means Clustering, and Spectral Clustering in shaping the future of Machine Learning. Overall, the session was a valuable contribution to the educational and professional growth of those interested in Machine Learning and Deep Learning technologies.
The event was successfully coordinated by Mrs. J. Anciline Jenifer, Assistant Professor of MCA, ensuring smooth execution throughout.
