Guest lecture on Funding Opportunities for Startups

On 25.04.2024 Guest Lecture of “Funding opportunities for startups” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Management Studies, Department and Institution’s Innovation council. The resource person was Mr.Siva Baarathi, EDII TN Field Coordinator and Mrs.S .Valli Managing D irector, Vosa Tech Tirunelveli and Chennai. The session was coordinated by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, from 9.30AM to 12.30 PM on 25.04.24. 40 students and one faculty member participated.

The program coordinator introduced and welcomed the guest speakers. Mr. Siva Baarathi and he shared business ideas and government opportunities to get money as fund for business. He shared various funding opportunities available for innovative ideas. He presented existing innovations and motivated students to think innovatively in their business. He randomly asked students innovative ideas and he shaped those ideas. To make the students glue to the program, he insisted a task for students based on marketing, sales and profit.

Mrs. Valli, the second speaker shared about her entrepreneurial journey and the challenges faced to turn out entrepreneur. She explained various funding opportunities in banks. She also explained various steps involved in opting funds and also explained procedures clearly. She shared the real life story and experience to make the session interesting and to motivate the students. The program came to an end with vote of thanks. The session evoked good response among the participants and they interacted with the guest speakers.
