MacroEconomics is a branch of economics dealing with performance, structure, behavior, and decision-making of an economy as a whole. It focuses on the aggregate changes in the economy such as unemployment, growth rate and industrial production. Francis Xavier Department of Management Studies (FXDOMS) organized a guest lecture on the topic “MacroEconomics'' on 2nd November, 2022. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Abrar Wasta, HRBP – Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (PSU). Ms. Jenefer, I MBA welcomed the gathering and Mr. Thangappan, I MBA introduced the chief guest. The speaker explained in detail about Macroeconomics and the various factors related to MacroEconomics like barter system, medium of exchanges, GDP, inflation, CRR, SLR, Repo rates etc. He further added that Poverty reduction, social equity, and sustainable growth are only possible with sound monetary and fiscal policies. The speaker explained the term assets and its types as liquid asset, tangible, intangible, fungible and non-fungible. At the end of the session, the chair person had an interaction with the students and clarified their doubts regarding macroeconomics. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Mr. Arthur David, I MBA.
