The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on "Mastering Red Hat Linux: Advanced System Administration" on October 23, 2024. The event featured esteemed speakers, including Mr. Shiresh Pandey, Asia Pacific Head of Red Hat Academy, Mr. Ranjith Sengupta, Managing Director of Advantage Pro, and Mr. Rama Subramanian, Managing Director of iTech Academy. The resource persons emphasized the importance of Red Hat Linux skills for careers in system administration, software development, and cloud computing. They shared a detailed flow chart for skill enhancement in Red Hat Linux and covered advanced topics such as the use of Red Hat in enterprise environments, open-source technologies, containers, and job opportunities in Linux. The session included an interactive Q&A segment where students inquired about job prospects, the use of Linux in multinational companies, skill development, and the most in-demand skills in the industry.
