On 8.12.2023 Guest Lecture on " Navigating the Entrepreneurial Journey: From Idea to Implementation" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC through offline mode in association with Department of Management Studies. The session was handled by Ms.M.Kanagalakshmi, , Final year MBA student(Student Entrepreneur), Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai from 09.30 AM- 12.30 PM on 08.12.23. 40 students and one faculty participated.

The program started with the welcome address and chief guest introduction by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, EDC coordinator of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College. The resource person started her session by highlighting the entrepreneurial opportunities for the MBA students and encouraged the students to make use of those opportunities. She continued her presentation under the heading of the how the students can implement their idea into start up. She further gave an example of startups India and how that works. One of the example she gave about an application called “Chai Kings” and how they made their idea work.

She continued her session with sharing her own experience in her own start up and how she came up with the idea and what were challenges she faced. She also stated that importance of market research before starting the startup like knowing their target customers and their preferences and complete analysis of the competitors and number of opportunities they have in the industry. She gave us a very insightful thing about scheme like PMEGP scheme, and venture capitalist and angel investors.

The resource person continued the session by giving us road map for startup. From her experience she shared few characteristics of entrepreneur were learning to sell, risk taking, never have self-doubt and good support system. She also gave innovative ideas about starting a startup. Students were excited and they also told her about their startup ideas and got ideas from her. Finally, the resource person concluded the session by appreciating students for their active involvement in the session. The programme was ended with students’ feedback and vote of thanks.
