Little steps towards the goal will prepare to take that one big leap at the right time. Preparing for placements is very important as it decides the course career right after the completion of one’s graduation. With regard to this, a guest lecture on the topic “Preparing for Campus Placement” was conducted on 14-03-2023 under the activity code ACT/22-23/01289. The resource person for the guest lecture was Mr. R. G.Sankara Pandian, Managing Director, Guimax Pvt. Ltd. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan welcomed the resource person. Dr. Tino Merlin, introduced the resource person. The resource person interacted with the final year CSE students. He guided the students with three success words behind every successful placement. He said confidence, communication and a positive attitude is essential for successful placement. He taught the difference between grammar and spoken English and also about Indian neutral language.
He advised the students that sufficient verbal knowledge is essential for confident communication and insisted about the importance of past participants and trained them with some frequently asked interview questions and answers. He asked the students that whenever they introduced themselves in the interview, they should share their experience, their education, their extra-curricular activities, hobby and about their family. He explained the students about the Difference between Creativity and Imagination and also guided them in answering the questions such as greatest weakness of themselves and greatest strength of themselves. He insisted them to focus on Language Proficiency, Leadership, Work as a team and their Attitude. The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tino Merlin. The event was coordinated by Dr. Tino Merlin with the support of Dr. E. Manohar under the guidance of Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, HOD/CSE.
