Guest Lecture on Security as a Service in Cloud Computing

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on "Security as a Service in Cloud Computing” on July 09,2025 for Third Year and Final CSE students. The session was conducted by Dr.N.Jayapandian, Associate Professor, Christ University, Kengeri Campus ,Bangalore . The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by Dr. Aravind Swaminathan , HOD /CSE

Dr.N.Jayapandian, emphasise the importance of cloud Computing that how it delivers the Security as a Service (SECaaS) in Cloud Computing. He covered the concepts and types of cyber threats in Industry and how can we prevent them. Various Case studies have been discussed regarding the data leak in the Social Media Networks. Types of Security and their benefits has been discussed. Cyber Threats are particularly beneficial for organizations adopting cloud – first strategies, as it ensures consistent security across hybrid and multi- cloud environments. Finally , Dr.N.Jayapandian concluded with the benefits of the Services provided by the Cloud Computing areas.
