On 28.12.2023 a Guest Lecture on “Values- led Ventures: Shaping the Future of Ethical Entrepreneurship” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Management Studies Department and IIC. The resource person was Ms. Subbulakshmi Muruganandam, Managing Partner, White Consultancy Services, Tirunelveli. The session was coordinated by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai from 09.30 AM- 12.30 PM on 28.12.23. 40 students and one faculty member participated.

The program coordinator introduced and welcomed the chief guest Ms. Subbulakshmi Muruganandam, Managing Partner, White Consultancy Services, Tirunelveli to handle the session. Then the resource person started to present about the concept of entrepreneurship. She made the students to understand the difference between self-employment and entrepreneurship. She started her presentation about asking who is the ethical entrepreneur either Ratan Tata or Mukesh Ambani. Majority of the students replied by saying Ratan Tata. She explained why Ratan Tata is Viewed as ethical entrepreneur. She continued her speech by highlighting Corporate Social Responsible activities of Rata Tata.

After the tea break she divided the students into groups and asked the students to list out CSR activities of the corporate. Each group has chosen one company and presented the companies CSR activities. Then she moved the session by presenting ethical policies of the corporate and the role of ethical entrepreneurs in promoting those policies. Then she again gave an activity to the students group. Students were asked to choose one industry and gave the name of the company, corporate structure, roles and responsibilities for each position and asked the students to develop the ethical policies of their company. Each team came forward and presented their company policies. Few suggestions were given by the resource person and efforts of students were appreciated. Then she continued her session by presenting ethical entrepreneurial skills.

Then she shared many interesting business ideas with real examples. Through activities she imparted ethical entrepreneurship. The program concluded with the vote of thanks.
