GUEST LECTURE ON VISION TO VENTURE: NURTURING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS

On 27.12.2023, a guest Lecture on the topic “Vision to Venture: Nurturing Entrepreneurship Skills” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Management Studies Department and IIC through offline mode from 09.30 AM- 12.30 PM on 27.12.23. Mr. P. Selvakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies was the resource person. The session was coordinated by Dr. V. M. Sangeetha, AP/MBA. A total of 40 students and one faculty member participated. The program coordinator welcomed the resource person and students for the guest lecture and she introduced the chief guest with a briefing on the profile of the resource person. The resource Person started the session with a short introduction of Entrepreneurship and asked the question, “How many of you are interested in becoming entrepreneurs?” Nearly 10 students raised their hands and showed their interest. Then he asked the remaining students to communicate their career goals and the reason for not opting for an entrepreneurial career. Students gave a few reasons such as fear of risk, financial problems, problems in investment and so on. He continued his session by presenting the topics vision, vision crafting and the importance of vision formulation. He asked students to formulate a vision and called a few students to present their vision. Then he explained the steps of planning, execution, adaptation, scaling and its significant role in entrepreneurship.
