How to Become Entrepreneur at Young Age

On 15.10.2022 guest lecture was organized by Entrepreneur Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on the topic " How to Become Entrepreneur at Young Age?” from 10.00 a.m to 12.30 p.m. Mr. Arun Rajeev Sankaran, Founder & CEO, FinOS was the guest speaker. A.Amala Manuela, Assitant Professor/EEE was the coordinator for this event. 51 students and 1 staff member participated in the program.

Resource person explained the process of developing entrepreneurship and why the engineering students must involve in entrepreneurship. The speaker said that the engineers are Nation Builders and they must involve themselves in developing startups and offer jobs to others. While explaining the need to become entrepreneurs, the resource person highlighted the various funding support provided by the government through various schemes. The speaker highlighted the various aspects for which the fund may be required such as Prototype Creation, Product Development, Team Hiring, Working Capital, Legal & Consulting Services, Raw Material & Equipment, Licenses & Certifications, Marketing & Sales and Office Space & Admin Expenses. The preparation needs to be done before starting the venture. Students raised few questions to the resource person about the risk involved in becoming an entrepreneur. Infact, the interaction went on well and students were motivated through this program.
