On 24.01.2025 a session on " How to Build a Strong Business Plan to Attract Funding for MSMEs” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of CSE. This session was handled by G.JEY SIDDHARTH, Heleyon Technologies, Student Entrepreneur, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Sixty Two students from second year CSE and one faculty of CSE Department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE from 09.30AM – 11.30 AM.
The program started with the introduction of a guest speaker by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah. During this session, the guest speaker explained the concept of MSME funding opportunities to develop a strong business plan. The guest speaker said that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in economic growth and job creation. To secure funding, MSMEs need a robust business plan that demonstrates viability, scalability, and potential for returns.
This program outlines the key components of building a strong business plan to attract funding. Demonstrate your understanding of the market and industry by including: Industry trends and growth projections, Target market segmentation, Customer demographics and buying behavior, Analysis of competitors, including their strengths and weaknesses, Opportunities for market penetration and expansion. Introduce the leadership team and their expertise: Organizational chart, Roles and responsibilities of key team members, Profiles of founders and management, highlighting relevant experience, Advisory board members or consultants, if any. Describe the products or services you offer, focusing on: Key features and benefits, Innovation and uniqueness in the market, Development stages (if applicable), Intellectual property or patents (if any).Present a clear strategy for attracting and retaining customers: Pricing model, Distribution channels, Promotion and advertising strategies, Sales process and customer relationship management.
