HR Club organized a HR Debate on 21st November, 2025 with the objective of fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of contemporary issues in Human Resource Management. The event provided a dynamic platform for students to express their perspectives on emerging HR trends, organizational policies, and workplace challenges. Participants were grouped into teams presenting arguments both for and against the assigned topics, which included digital HR, work–life balance, employee surveillance, artificial intelligence in recruitment, and the future of remote work.
The debate witnessed enthusiastic participation, well-structured arguments, and confident presentations, demonstrating the students’ strong conceptual understanding and practical insights into HR practices. A panel of judges assessed the participants based on clarity of thought, relevance of content, communication skills, and the effectiveness of rebuttals. The highly interactive nature of the programme contributed to the enhancement of teamwork, leadership qualities, and public speaking abilities among students.
The event was coordinated by Mr. Panner Selvam, President; Mr. Subash Ram, Vice President; and Mr. Sree Hari M., Head of Event Coordinators (Elect), the student representatives of the HR Club. As an outcome of the activity, students strengthened their understanding of HR concepts, improved decision-making abilities, and gained exposure to the practical application of HR strategies in real-world organizational contexts, thereby contributing significantly to holistic HR education and professional development.
