Ideation Lab – Training on Ai Bot Development

Ideation lab envisions turning an innovative idea into a tangible concept by involving students in creativity, product development, design thinking and fostering skills among engineering students in all disciplines that are required to identify opportunities and bring them to life. Ideation Lab in FXEC explores to bring out the creativity, innovation and skills of the students through their Ideas and foster them to get along with futuristic technologies. The Ideation Lab and DoIT of Francis Xavier Engineering College jointly organized a 3 days Hands-on training programme on AI BoT Development (Level I) from 8.11.2022 to 11.11.2022 in association with NeubAItics Tech Pvt.Ltd. Er.P.K.Kalki Seetharaman Trainer, Technical Expert , Mr.G.Vinod MD NTPL imparted training in AI modules. A total of 42 students from various departments like CSE, IT, CSBS, AIDS & EEE and applied labs participated in the programme. On day 1 (8.11.2022), students learnt regarding Introduction to AI, ML, DL and NLP, Data Visualisation , Working on pandas, numpy, matplotlib (bar, line, scatter, pie), seaborn( Countplot, bar, line, scatter, point, pair, cat, violin, box, swarm plots, hue consideration, coloring and pattering), Data collection methods, Data pre – processing or cleansing techniques, Data handling, Regression and classification algorithms. At the end of day 1, students were assigned tasks on Data visualization and analytics on different datasets for Assessment. On day2 (9.11.2022), students were imparted training on Implementation of Linear, logistic, polynomial, support vectors, Navie bayes, K-Nearest neighbors, decision tree and random forest based regression and classification algorithm with sample dataset and use cases. At the end of the second day students were assigned tasks on implementation of algorithms on different datasets for Assessment. On third day (10.11.2022), students were given training on Model evaluation parameters like R2 score, mse, rmse, accuracy score, ROC and confusion matrix, Introduction to Neural Network concept, Artificial Neural Network concept behind and implementation using Keras with Tensorflow, Concept of Convolutional Neural Network and implementation for CIFAR 10 dataset., Language generation and language understanding concepts, Language data cleaning concepts with sample dataset and use cases. The students actively participated and successfully completed the training. The programme was organized by Dr.T.C.Subbu Lakshmi, Asso.Prof, DoIT, Tech Lead Ideation Lab FXEC & DoIT backed by Ideation lab Student coordinator M.Sumithra. Ideation Lab extends thanks to the FXEC management team and vertical teams and Heads of CSE, IT, CSBS, AIDS & EEE for providing encouragement and support in organizing the programme.

The Ideation Lab and Department of Information Technology of Francis Xavier Engineering College jointly organized a 24 hour Hackathon programme TechHAckathon1.0(Software Edition) from 10.11.2022(6 pm) to 11.11.2022 (6 pm) in association with NeubAItics Tech Pvt.Ltd. The Hackathon was inaugurated on 10th Nov, 2022 at 6.00 pm by the respected Chairman Dr.S.Cletus Babu, SCAD group of institutions and motivated the students with his words of inspiration and asked the students to give emphasis on focus and hard work. Felicitation address was delivered by Dr. K. Jeyakumar GM(D)- SCAD, Dr. S. Mohammed Sathik- Director, School of Computer studies SCAD, and Mr. S. Krishna Kumar GM(A)- SCAD, Director, Applied Labs. Er. Kalke Seetharaman disclosed Hackathon statements and protocol. This hackathon was conducted with the theme of Artificial Intelligence and use cases in Agriculture, Business, Health care, Education sector and Environment. A total of 40 students from various departments participated in Teams and developed applications and deployments on Crop recommendation systems, Plastic material identification in water bodies, Nutrition planner, Diet recommendations, course recommendation in Educational sector, Disease prediction, cancer identification systems, Corporate scoring system, ML solutions in Agriculture and so on. The students were mentored and evaluated by Er.P.K.Kalki Seetharaman Trainer, Technical Expert , Mr.G.Vinod MD NTPL , Dr.T.C.Subbu Lakshmi and Dr.R.Ravi, Prof – CSE Dept. Out of the participants M.Divya, L.Caroline Grace , P.Brinda of CSE were the Winners, N.Arumugam CSBS, S.Benny CSBS were the I Runner up, E.Sahaya Reffina IT and Niveditha IT were the II Runner up. G.Kala Devi IT, P. Alen Roi AIDS, Muthuvengadalakshmi CSBS were given special recognition prize for solutions in the environment domain. The winners were awarded with Cash, Certificates and Momentos.
